Group Questions

What might God be saying to you from this video?

Read Romans 8:28. We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

In the following verse, Paul explains that this purpose is to conform us to the image of Christ – to make us Christ-like. Can you see in your life how God has used both hard and good times to make you more like Jesus?

Watch the following clip with Reverend Will Van Der Hart, about our ever-creative God. Will is Associate Vicar at St.Dionis, Parsons Green and a leading thinker on Christians and mental health with Mind and Soul Foundation as well as author of many insightful books.

Will Van Der Hart on knowing our Creator God who never stops creating, remaking our lives afresh.

Read out Revelation 4:11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

Say the name of every person on the course today, followed by these words, “By God’s will, you were created.” Then, hold some moments of quiet to take it in and thank God.

Consider the truth that you are “wonderfully made” (Psalm 139). Does that change the value that you place on your life?

Had you realised that God was, is and always will be creating? What does that truth change for you?

Is there an area of loss or failure that you can bring to God today, trusting God to turn it to good and make a new creation?

Knowing that you are made in God’s image, how has he designed you to be creative?

Invite the Spirit to come and do a new creative work in your life.

I worship you, my loving God, that you created all things

You created me with love and so I am priceless in value.

You are still the Creator, restoring your image in my life.

You will never stop working for my good until the day when all is remade

Come Holy Spirit, hover over all that is disordered and empty in my life. Breathe on me, breath of God and make me new.

 Amen

Allow time for the Holy Spirit to minister to you as a group and to pray for one another.
