LOVED

Christmas is because you are loved

When the Christmas tree sparkles and the candles glow

You are loved

And if today you feel desperately low

You are still loved

When “Hark the Herald “lifts your heart to the rafters

You are loved

And when you are stressed that the turkey hasn’t defrosted,

You are loved

When “Silent Night” sings calm and clear

You are loved

And when wars rage

Love casts out fear

When you gasp at the glory of God who gives God to you

You are loved

And when presents disappoint and arguments brew

You are still loved

By the one who knows you through and through

Remember this year –

Christmas is because you are loved.

This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him.   1 John 4:9
